A few years later I graduated with a BA in Theatre and moved to Newton, NC where I became involved with local theatres, films, and the Carolina Renaissance Festival.

Shortly after I was hired by Poetry Alive and spent the next three years touring all over the country performing poetry in schools.  During my three years with this company I performed for thousands of students and in 24 different states.

2009 was my last year with Poetry Alive.  Now I'm living in Asheville while going back to school for my teaching license.

I grew up in Pauline, SC.  Shortly after graduating high school I moved to Crystal Lake, IL.  That same year I started college in Elsah, IL at Principia College.  The beginning of my second year at Principia I had already declared a major in Computer Science when I was cast in my first college production, Romeo and Juliet set during the American Civil War directed by Natalija Nogulich.  This was the beginning of the end for my Computer Science degree and the start of my life in the theatre.
